Electromechanical Engineering Department Hold Training Course

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering Department / Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University of Technology held a training course on quality manual and quality documentation for engineers and technicians working in the laboratories of the department.

The course included training the participants in preparing the quality guide in accordance with ISO 9001, in addition to identifying the required documents and quality forms from the quality assessment of the laboratories, as well as training the participants on how to fill the quality documents and determining the tasks entrusted to the laboratory workers for the next stage Electromechanical engineering to meet the international standards. An exam was conducted at the end of the course to evaluate the participants' performance.

The Petroleum Technology Department holds a lecture on oil recovery support

Within the cultural season of the Department of Petroleum Technology at the University of Technology, a lecture was given by Asst. Dr. Samaher Abdul Rasoul on the support of extraction of crude oil using bacteria on the conference hall in the department and in the presence of scientific assist.Prof. Dr. Adel Sharif Hammadi and a number of the teaching of the department.

The Faculty of Materials Engineering publish research

The Faculty of Materials Engineering Asst.Prof. Alaa Al-Din Abdul Hamid and Asst.Prof. Sura Salim Ahmed and Mina Faisal joint scientific research entitled:

A study of the effect of ZnO membranes on some characteristics of transparent and stained glass windows in the Journal of the American Institute of Physics (AIP)

The study involved the preparation of samples of stained glass and transparent colorless glass coated with metal oxide for construction applications. A layer of ZnO zinc oxide coating was deposited by thermal chemical decomposition technology for use in sustainability applications. Structural properties of XRD, SEM, Atomic AFM and thermal properties and optical properties and impact of the coating conditions on the paint applied to the glass and color.

The results showed that the sedimentation layer was less than 90 nm thick and was crystallized with a high optical transparency that was not significantly affected by the deposition of the ZnO film while the electrical insulation decreased significantly after the deposition of the film and the effect of the weather conditions was very discreet

The President of the University of Technology gave acknowledgment thanks and appreciation to the lecturer in the department, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hussein, for his outstanding efforts to prepare and set up the 6th International Conference on Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials and its Applications.

Computer Engineering Department Visit Al-Ain Institute

The students of Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology represented by the Committee of Social Activity, headed by Asst.Prof.Dr.Hassan Jalil and a number of the lecturers of the department headed by Prof.Dr.Emad Husseini organized a visit to Al-Ain Charitable Institute for Social Welfare.

The delegation was briefed on the humanitarian efforts provided by the institute and caring orphans and made a tour of all facilities of the social and health sections.

The department donates some amount of money which was collected from the employees of the department to contribute and help some orphaned children.

Scientific Visit to Grraf field

Fourth stage students of Petroleum Engineering Department at University of Technology accompanied by the lecturers Asst.Lect.Mohammed Gazi, Asst.Lect.Wasem Ali and the engineers Jassim Mohammed and Mohammed Abdullah made a scientific visit to Al-Ghrraf field of oil in Nasriyah.

The delegation was briefed on the site of the isolation stations in Gharraf field where the students were introduced to the most important stages of insulation that are leaked by crude oil after its production and gave lectures on occupational safety for students and presence.

The students visited the site of the drilling tower and the students were acquainted with the most important processes associated with the drilling operations, the pumping stations for the mud, the landing of the lining and the control room of the wells.

Head of Chemical Engineering Department Visit Internal Section 5

Within the directives University of Technology Rector Prof.Dr.Amin Douai to follow-up the administrative and technical reality of the internal sections of the students, a delegation headed by the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Asst.Prof.Dr.Khalid Ajami and scientific assistant Dr. Adnan Abdul and administrative assistant Dr. Walla Abdul Hadi and Dr. Zaidon Mohsen visited the internal section No. 5 in the presence of the Director of the Interior Department Mr. Abbas Mahdi and the administrative staff of the internal section.

During the visit, the delegation learned about the residential reality and the atmosphere that was provided to the students by the Directorate of Internal Departments during the examination period.

The head of the department expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts exerted by the Department of Interior to provide all the requirements to our dear students at all times, especially in the examination period. The visit also included the distribution of lunch meal to the students in the internal section as an initiative of the professors of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Civil Engineering Department held Seminars

Cosmetics Engineering Branch at the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology held seminars for graduate students to discuss the research path of many students.

During the workshops, the students learned the stages and the professors made their views to evaluate the scientific process of the researchers.
