Recruiting unit at Oil Technology Engineering Department supervised by the department's head Prof.Dr.Mohamed Al-Jiwad has invited Schlumberger Company, the pioneer in oil field, to participate in the annual job fair held by Technology University.
More than 80 students have a written exam in the conference hall at the department for employment purpose. It is worth mentioning that many students got jobs in this company.

Tabreer Tarek Hassan from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology received a master's degree with excellent mark for her entitled thesis (Implementation of the smart algorithm to diagnose the disease using the programmable logic gate matrices in situ) on Dijla Hall in the section.
The researcher also developed a cardiac diagnosis system to classify two types of heart disease (normal and abnormal) as well as five classification cases (coronary heart disease, angina, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, and normal condition) and high diagnostic accuracy. The proposed cardiology system is based on two types of database used in the classification process as well as the online database for diagnosis of heart disease, the real database collected from Ibn al-Bitar cardiac surgery hospital and Medical City in Baghdad. The databases consist of thirteen medical Successful factors to diagnosis the heart diseases.
The discussion committee consisted of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamza Mahmoud as President and Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Saffah Hassoun and Lecturer. Dr.Saad Mutsher Abbas as members and Lecturer. Dr.Manal Hammadi Jassim and Lecturer. Dr. Ivan Abdul Zahra Hashem as Supervisor and a member.

The Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology awarded the master's degree with a grade of excellence to the master student Asmaa Abdul Latif Hussein for her entitled thesis:" Development of a path-planning algorithm based on robot position space"
In this study, the researcher demonstrated the development of the(C-space) analysis, which has advantages in the process of routing the robot. This structure is based on geometric analysis of some forms of obstacles which are basic forms in the robot environment. The (A *) algorithm for robot path mapping was applied to the(C-space) structure and the (D *) algorithm, which was characterized by better behavior than the first method. Both methods obtained the shortest course possible, free from any collision with obstacles to get an ideal path, as well as using the generated path of the algorithm (D *) with the bird swarm algorithm (PSO) was implemented on(C-Space) after defining the (C-Space) map using the Industrial neural network (ANN) to obtain an accurate description of the collision zones.
The algorithms used with(C-space) have been demonstrated by modeling results and practical results.
The discussion committee consisted of Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sabah Al-Araji, as Chairman and Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad AbdulRida Mekki and Lecturer. Dr. Ahmed Khalaf Hamoudi as members and Assist. Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul Razzaq Rahim as Supervisor

The Control and Systems Engineering department at the University of Technology awarded the Master Degree with a very good grade to the student (Abdullah Ali Mohammad) for his entitled thesis:
(Performance Comparison of four different notes)
The discussion committee consisted of Assist. Prof. Dr. Shibli Ahmed Hameed as Chairman and Assist. Prof. Dr. Safana Modhir Raafat and Lectrer. Dr. Sami Kazem Hassan as members and Assist. Prof. D. . Amjad Jalil Hamidi as Supervisor.
The researcher concluded by studying the solid properties and performance of four different observations when used to estimate the cases of two mechanical systems (rotary inverted pendulum) and (Pendubot)
The work includes four observed techniques to estimate the situation. These observations are the nonlinear extended case, the linear extended case observer, the high gain observer, the protruding status observer, and four cases considered to evaluate the performance of the notes; case of par, certainty.
Based on these cases, the performance of these observations has been assessed and quantified according to their sequential properties and the least difference to guess the error resulting from them.
