Asst.Prof.Dr.Jiwad Kadhim from Metarials Engineering Department at the University of Technology and Asst.Prof.Dr.Ahmed Niama from University of Missan-Engineering faculty have published a joint research " Experimental and numerical investigation of lower limb prosthetic foot made from composite polymer blends" in the magazine "International journal of mechanical and production and production engineering research and development" Vol.8-2018.
The research dealt with Two types of polymer PMMA / SR and PMMA / PUR were mixed with carbon fiber CF and were prepared as a suitable material for the artificial foot of the lower limbs. The tensile properties were practically measured. The theoretical part of this work dealt with the angles of deformation. ANSY-15 to analyze and evaluate the tensile properties of total deformation and equivalent stress. The results showed that the effect on the measured properties gave the polymeric mixtures an optimum compound, which is the best choice for the artificial limbs of the foot limbs.

Mechanical engineering department at the university of technology grants MSC to the student Mariam Abdul-Ameer for her thesis ((The performance of a solar collector built on a small channel)). The thesis includes a practical and theoretical study that has been employed to verify the thermal performance of the design of a solar collector based on curvilinear miniature channels in the applications of mini-channel heat exchangers. It is essential that the design tools be accurate heat transferring and low pressure. The disccusion committee was chared by Prof.Dr.Waheed Shatte, and the membership of Asst.Prof.Dr.Najim ABD Jasim from michanical engineering department-University of Baghdad and Lect.Dr.Ali Dawood. Asst.Prof.Dr.Zainab Hasoon and Lect.Dr.Mohammed Fawzi as supervisors.

Production engineering department at the University of Technology grants MSC to the student Shahad Waleed for her thesis ((Recovery of Chrome from Electro Chemical Machining Waste)).
The research dealt with the recovery of chromium from electrochemical waste. These wastes are hazardous solid wastes due to the presence of certain heavy metals such as chromium, iron, nickel, lead and molybdenum. At the same time, some of these minerals are of high value and are high in waste such as chlorum, iron and nickel. Therefore, recovery of these minerals saves the environment. The disccusion committee was chaired by Prof.Dr.Sami Ibrahim and the membership of Asst.Prof.Dr.Kadhim Noori from General Directorate of Vocational Education and Lect.Dr. Makarim Hazim from University of Technology. Asst.Prof.Dr.Saad Kareem and Lect.Dr. Higran Zain Al-abdeen as supervisors both are from University of Technology. Asst.Prof.Dr.Abdul-Kareem Mohammed from University of Baghdad as a scientific reviewer and Asst.Prof.Dr.Omar Farooq from University of Technology as a linguistic reviewer.
