The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Abdul Hussein Abdul Rida Abtan, presented to the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Ameen Dawi Thamer shield and a certificate of appreciation for the University's efforts to support the students' projects during the celebration held on Monday, 23/10/2017 by Department of Scientific Care in the international cooperation and relations hall- the ministry headquarter.

The Festive includes a short film about #application project and giving certificates of appreciation to the participated universities, professors and students of these universities.
The Director-General of the Department of Scientific Care, Dr. Ahmed Saad Aliwi said that the participation of more than (5000) students in the first stage of the project is a big success for this project and we look forward for more participation through the cooperation between the ministry of youth and sports and universities by providing practical atmosphere for students. At the end of the festive, Mr. Abdul-Hussein Abdul Rida Abtan honored the students participated in this project and the professors supervising them wishing them all success.

In the context of intellectual and scientific exchanges with the educational institutions and the academic capabilities of the University of Technology, the IJOCAS adopt Asst.Prof.Dr.Thameer Mohammed Jameel, the head of wireless communications system branch at communications engineering department-UOT as a scientific reviewer of the journal.
Dr. Thameer said that IJOCAS concerns with computer techniques and applied sciences published in Oman, he added that accreditation came after the evaluation of several scientific researches set to scientific publication.

As part of its activities for the new academic year 2017-2018, the English Language Center at the University of Technology announces the availability of its capabilities to translate written texts from English to Arabic and vice versa.
 Dr.Muna Sweer said that the center provide many possibilities in translating various texts such as research abstract for postgraduate studies and teaching staff , external communications, contracts and declarations, indicating that the center is waiting the official accreditation from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the allocation of a stamp adopted by the Center.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology held an introductory lecture on the role of graduates and students who continue studying in the process of qualification and employment.
 The lecture included directing the students to follow the unit's directives for the purpose of developing their skills on the practical side, in order to include them in the labor market. The instructions also included registering in the IREX database according to the recommendations of the Rector's academic assistant, as well as explaining the future plans of the unit for the purpose of rehabilitation Training and accommodation.
 The lecture was delivered by the head of the graduate follow-up unit in the department of Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mohammed.
