The Continuous Education Centre at University of Technology organizes a course about the skills of administrative development with the participation of trainers who represent the communication and media institute .
The aim of the course is explaining the main principles of administrative skills for the participants and how to acquire the skills and knowledge of administrative process in the field of work in addition to making use of practical experiences and situations which were presented in the program during implementation.
The curriculum includes the financial and administrative skills, administrative leadership, the skills of administrative leader ,the characteristic of the manager and good president, kinds of managers, change administration , meeting administration , reports and time management .

student from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering /University of Technology (Ayad Ibrahim Hussein) gets a Master's degree with the degree very good for his thesis entitled
“Buckling Behavior of 304 Stainless Steel under Shot Peening Treatment using Electrical Laser Alarm ”
The study examined the behavior of the flexible buckling of the solid columns and the measurement of the dynamic buckling of the stainless steel by using a digital electrical sensor and a laser system. The researcher concluded that the electrical laser alarm system works successfully to control the critical buckling load and improve the mechanical properties of the stainless steel at 25 minutes as it increases with the reduction of the effecter length that remains constant.
The discussion committee consisted of Assist.Prof. Dr. Osama Fadhil Abdul Latif ( University of Baghdad /College of Al-Khwarizmi Engineering) as Chairman and membership of (Assist.Prof. Dr. SaadiTurayd Kuraydi , Dr.Hussein Abdul Aziz Mohammed in addition to Assist.Prof. Dr.Hussein Jassim Mohammed and Assist.Prof. Dr. Fikret Abdul Karim Fattah assupervisors) all of them are from the University of Technology /Department of Electromechanical Engineering

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology was granted a Master's degree with a grade of excellence for a practical study to reduce the viscosity of Iraqi oil in the pipelines by using an innovative and Nano -silica material. The study was done by the post- graduate student Aws Falah Hassan in the discussion which was held at Al-Kindi Hall at the department.
The thesis deals with the design and implementation of a wide-scale innovative power which contribute in reducing the viscosity of heavy Iraqi oil and improving the efficiency of the flow in the pipes with the help of Nano-silica, which increases the efficiency of expansion work. This technique was applied for the first time in Iraq through a contract with the oil pipeline company which is the beneficiary of the research. The practical results showed a reduction in viscosity of oil 37% by using innovative expansion and 60% by using the expansion and Nano-silica.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Saad Tami Hamidi ( Department of Electromechanical Engineering/ University of Technology )as a chairman and Assist. Prof.Dr. Naseer Abboud Easa (Al- Nahrain University / Faculty of Engineering )and Assist. Prof.Dr. Sherine Faeq Abdul-Karim , Assist. Prof.Dr. Raheeq Ismail Ibrahim and Dr. Manal Kadhem Abboud as supervisors, all of them are from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology.

The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology held a scientific symposium in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity entitled "The Role of the Profession Ethics in Supporting the Energy Efficiency in Iraq" . The mentioned symposium was held at Al-Kindi Hall in the presence of the President of the University of Technology Dr. Amin Daway Thamer and the representatives of the Ministry of Electricity, in addition to a number of heads of departments and instructors.
The President of the University of Technology has delivered a speech at the beginning of the symposium, in which he referred to the importance of holding such symposium and finding solutions to address the most important problems related to the electricity sector and how to support energy efficiency. The head of the electromechanical department, Assist .Prof.Dr. Hisham Salim Aneed emphasizes that this symposium is part of the efforts of the department to open the prospect of joint cooperation with several ministries of the State to serve the public interest and the main objective and highlight the importance of the role of ethics in the field of electrical energy and energy efficiency , in addition to discussing the problems in supporting the energy efficiency and find solutions.
The symposium included one session chaired by the head of the Department of Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering, Assist. Prof.Dr. Taleb Zoghair Faraj and its Rapporteur, Assistant . Lect. Mayada Taqi Wazi. The first lecture was delivered by Eng. Majid Mohammed Abbas from the Ministry of Electricity entitled "Procedures of the Ministry of Electricity in Energy Efficiency" . The second lecture was delivered by the instructor from electromechanical Engineering Prof.Dr. Jalal Mohammed Jalil entitled "The Ethics of an engineer profession",whereas the third lecture was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Saleh Abu Al-Tayeb from the Ministry of Electricity entitled" Energy Market and the experience of privatization of the distribution"
