Applied Sciences Dept.  Discusses a Master  Thesis for Postgraduate Student/ Maryam M. Muhammad

(Synthesis characterization and antimcrobial study of new coumarin derivatives Studying the effects of OTA and Ar Gas)

The thesis of the student, Maryam Mohan Muhammad, specializing in applied chemistry, included the preparation and study of some new coumarin derivatives using more than one method and the presence of a group of aldehydes and studying their biological activity with different concentrations on Gram-positive and negative bacteria.

The researcher indicated that the study was done on live body using mice, where the effectiveness of these compounds was shown after converting them to a gel formula, and the mice were similar to recovery after 18 days, and a theoretical study of the compounds was done using the Gaussian program and the DFT method.

The discussion committee consisted of :-

1- Asst. Prof .Dr. Yasmine K. Hassan/ Chairman.

2- Asst. Prof .Dr. Ahmed M. Abdullah/ Member.

3- Asst. Prof .Dr. Dhafer Saber Khalaf/ Member.
