A master's thesis in technology discusses designing a robot using electrical brain signals

A master's thesis in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology discussed the design of a robot using electrical brain signals based on an artificial intelligence system.

The message presented by student Samaa Saad Abdel Wahab aims to be a good start to the world of BCI. This work presents the design and experimentation of a system capable of detecting human thinking such as hand movement and foot movement using brain wave signals known as electroencephalography (EEG), and an intelligent machine learning algorithm called (SVM), (k-NN), and (Boosted Tree). . This work is stimulated by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which causes patients to completely lose the ability to move and speak.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof.Dr. Hikmat Najim Abdullah as chairperson, Prof. Dr.Mahmoud Zaki Abdallah, Prof.Dr. Salwa Adel Abdel Hamid as members, Prof. Dr.Hussein Karim Khalif and Prof.Dr. Manal Hammadi Jassem as a supervisor.
