Based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in strengthening the role of universities towards local communities, with direct support and funding from the World Food Program, and to complement the steps of the University of Technology in carrying out its duty towards its local community and achieving the global goals of sustainable development,the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the Presidency of the University of Technology has launched the application form for the program, which will be implemented on 12/22/2022 through the university.

It aims to provide basic skills to the youth segment and new graduates from the capital, Baghdad, with a total number of 200 trainees, in order to enhance their employment opportunities and enable them to build better livelihoods for themselves and their families. The program includes the following according to the initial training schedule:

First: The stage of developing digital skills and English for Business Skills in parallel (electronically) over a period of four months (from March 2023 to June / July 2023).

Second: Developing preparation skills and searching for employment opportunities, entrepreneurship skills and creative thinking skills (attendance) over a period of one month (July / August 2023)

Training will be in digital skills and English language skills (intermediate and advanced) depending on the participant's level. The appropriate level is determined through a simple test included in the application form, in addition to the result of the face-to-face interview with the Higher Evaluation Committee, according to the following preliminary timeline:

  1. Opening the application form for the program from 23-28 February 2023.
  2. Verification and initial evaluation electronically from 1-3 March 2023.
  3. Announcing the preliminary list of candidates and notifying them electronically of the date of the interview on March 3, 2023.
  4. An in-person interview with the Higher Central Evaluation Committee and completion of legal procedures to hand over the requirements of the participants (internet line + computer on loan) March 4-8, 2023.
  5. Announcing the list of final candidates (175 trainees) and reserve candidates (25 trainees) on March 8, 2023.
  6. Starting the training curriculum and its courses on March 10, 2023.

The trainee will receive, upon passing the stages of the training program, several official certificates issued by the University of Technology in accordance with the initial training plan.
