Laser engineering Department hold a scientific symposium

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, the Department of Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering held the scientific symposium tagged (optoelectronics and its advanced applications) on Thursday, 3/3/2022 in the department’s hall.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jalal Abdul Razzaq, the scientific assistant, gave a speech by the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Jassim Kadhim Hammoud, during which he praised all the participants from the faculty staff, scientific and technical cadres and researchers, adding that the symposium raises the status of our researchers, as well as the race of ideas among researchers from the start of developments in the world and benefit from experiences For the scientific aspects and the lectures it contains.

The symposium included one session chaired by Assist.Prof. Dr. Abdullah Khudair Abbas and rapporteur Lec. Dr. Esraa Qahtan Hamed, included four lecture, the first one entitled (Optical reagents and their use in electro-optical systems), which delivered by Prof. Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab Ismail, which dealt with the uses of optical reagents. The second about (Trends and Applications in Optical Electronics) that delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel-Khalek, during which he discussed the latest research and developments in the various applications of sensors and optics in general, and the third entitled (Semiconductors in Environmental Sensor Technology) that delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Amir Faisal Abdel Amir dealt with the fact that semiconductors have caused a scientific revolution in the field of sensors (environmental sensors). The last one about (underwater optical wireless communications) delivered by Assist. Prof. Omar Nameer Mohammed dealt with underwater optical communications and the developments happens in this important field and illustrate some of modern applications of newest systems that related this applications.
