Electrical Engineering Dept. Holds a Workshop on Bullying Phenomenon
Electrical Engineering Dept. at U.O.T. held a workshop on (the phenomenon of bullying: its types, causes, and methods of treatment) at Dijlah Hall in the department, in the presence of the head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muntadher S. Shaker, scientific and administrative assistants, heads of scientific branches, and a number of lecturers, affiliates and students of the department.
The workshop focused on defining the types of bullying with an explanation of the material and moral causes that push towards such behavior at the individual and group level.
The lectures were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Moayad Abdul-Sadah and Asst. Prof. Dr. Baraa M. Hassan from the Psychological Research Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Lect. Dr. Sundus D. Hassan, Director of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in Electrical Engineering Dept. at U.O.T. , and the lecturers completed the session by presenting a set of practical treatments that would reduce down bullying.
The discussion was opened at the end of the lecture, and questions and comments were answered.
