         The Department of Communication Engineering at the University of Technology has organized the scientific symposium (Internet of things and communications) on the conference hall in the Control and Systems Engineering department.

The seminar included two sessions the first one including one lecture under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hanan Abdul Rida Akkar from the Department of Electrical Engineering and its Coordinator Prof. Dr. Atheer Alaa Sabri, the lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Rasool, who discussed the subject "Internet things and their applications''

The second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rashid Hameed Mutar from the Department of Electrical Engineering and its Coordinator, Assist.Prof. Zainab Nasser Jameel, from the Department of Communications Engineering, and included two lectures, the first was entitled (fiber optic networks of Internet things) delivered by Assist.Prof.Ali youssif fatah from the Department of Communications Engineering, the second lecture (collateral damage to wireless communication equipment for Internet objects and its impact on human health) was delivered byAssist. Dr. Rifaat Taleb Hussain from the Department of Communications Engineering.

Dr. Imad Hussain Marza Al Husseini, Head of Communication Engineering, said: "The aim of this symposium is to highlight the importance of the Internet in everyday life, both practical and scientific, as well as the role of the Internet in education of university

He pointed out that the transformation from human activity in its traditional form to electronic has become a necessary necessity that should be pursued by any modern institution that wants to keep abreast of the rapid and astonishing development, pointing to the importance of the information revolution and continuous progress in communication systems, the Internet, cloud computing and mobile communication technologies.

The symposium came out with the following important recommendations: the development of university education and administrative work through the optimal use of information and communication technology based on electronic universities and smart classrooms, and restrict the installation of towers for telephone stations near high density residential areas, schools, stadiums and hospitals

At the end, the head of the department distributed of appreciation certificates to the attendees and contributors who success the scientific symposium.
