The University Rector Prof.Dr.Ameen Dawai chaired the general meeting authority in the computer engineering department at the presence of head of department Prof.Dr.Ahmed Sabah and the branches' heads and the staff of the department.

The head of the department expressed his gratitude for the presence of the University rector for such meetings which enhance the spirit of cooperation between the Presidency of the Department and the Presidency of the University to achieve the desired goal in improving the education and services provided by the University to the community. During the meeting, the head of the department reviewed the teaching and scientific progress in the department and added it to it for its development and evaluation at the present time. The plan of the university and the department was discussed to strengthen the educational process and move forward in strengthening the university's position at the local and international level.They also discussed the obstacles facing the work of the department and viewed the lecturers' opinions and staff of to solve and overcome them.The also discussed the importance of e-learning to be abided by the lecturers of all the department, evaluation of the department for the university and evaluation of the university for the rest of the universities and focus on the dissemination of scientific research in magazines and conferences and planning to open the CSCO laboratory in the department and certificates and assessments and highlight the development of laboratories section and the possibility of increasing conferences and seminars and scientific studies.
