A lecturer from Nanotechnology Research and Advanced Materials Center at UOT participates in a  scientific symposium held by Maysan University entitled (Nanotechnology is the future revolution: Application of nanotechnology in science, medicine and industry)

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ammar H. Al-Qaisi from Nanotechnology Research and Advanced Materials Center at UOT participated in scientific symposium held by Maysan University entitled (Nanotechnology is the future revolution: Application of nanotechnology in science, medicine and industry).

The symposium aimed to coordinate with researchers locally and globally to exchange scientific experiences and enhance promotion of research culture, in particular stimulating scientific research and applications of nanomaterials to serve the community, building strong and fruitful groups with local and international research institutions in research affairs.

This virtual symposium held to get acquainted with this technology and its many benefits in many scientific fields, including medical ones, as nano biological sensors are the key from Corona pandemic saving through the manufacture of highly nano biological sensors for the early detection of a corona virus infection within minutes in addition to early detection For cancer, including industrial applications, especially mechanical engineering, where nanomaterials are used in many ways to improve the properties of minerals and compound materials. As for the energy storage aspect, it contributed to improving the ion-lithium batteries by using nanomaterials in increasing the energy storage capacity with the shortening of charging time. Finally, the symposium included a major focus in preparing nanomaterials.
