Al-Gabban Chairs Crisis Cell Meeting
Prof.Dr. Ahmed Al-Gabban, president of University of Technology, chaired on Monday Nov.30.2020 a meeting of university crisis cell to face Corona Virus at the attendance of both vice-president for administrative affairs Prof.Dr.Hussein Hameed and scientific affairs Prof.Dr.Haider Abd and members of the cell for being responsible to keep its staff and students safe and ensures the continuing of training and researches in the academic year 2020-2021 through multi-learning according to the instructions of the ministry of Higher Education. During the meeting, they discussed five axes, the first one about the starting of the new academic year and the necessary preparations.

During the meeting, they discussed five axes, the first one about the starting of the new academic year and the necessary preparations.
The second one about discussed the students and their parents turning to the registration offices and high studies and legal department, taking into consideration social distancing.
The third one about internal department affairs for postgraduate students and the need to issue a protocol for housing the students, the committee recommended periodic sanitizing and continuous follow-up by the director of the department.
The fourth one about laboratories and workshops where the multi-learning system was discussed after allowing the postgraduate students to stay for three real days per
week. The committee recommended organizing the process of students' attendance to labs and workshops with periodic sanitizing. The final axes dealt with university cafes and restaurants and the committee discussed the ability to reopen them again during pandemic and taking the necessary actions. The university committee recommended preventive measures, first of them is health cards for employees, safety of raw materials and the cleanliness of cooking methods. Al-Gabban praised the role of the university crisis cell for their efforts to keep the employees and students safe during Corona pandemic.
