A lecture entitled “Global Sobriety of The University & the Mechanism of Publishing in Refereed Journals” was held by Office of Vice- President for Scientific Affairs.

Office of Vice – President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations held a developmental  lecture entitled “ Global Sobriety of the university and the Mechanism of Publishing in Refereed Journals” delivered by Prof. Dr. Nasri Saleh Muhammad, Director of the Studies and Planning and Follow-up Department at Middle Technical University, on Monday 14/6/2021 at 10:00 a.m. in  Dr. Jawamir’s hall in Mechanical Engineering  Dept., attended by the Vice- President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, Prof. Dr. Heider Abed Dhahed, and  number of the department’s teachers.

The lecturer shows the scientific institutional classification of Iraq globally according to SCIMAGO, which depends on this indicator on three characteristics: Scientific , Economic and Social ones.

Most of the statistics indicate the interest of this indicator in the sober scientific publication and other inputs of the scientific institution. At the same time, the method of comparison between institutions of different sizes depends, and the degree of the scale is from zero to 100.

He also explained the procedure of publishing in refereed journals and the variety  of sober publications avoiding publishing in Predatory and Hijacked  journals that seek  profitability, and how to move to the multiplicity of publications in the same university and according to the areas of specialization Scopus area and move to publication in discrete international journals located in the middle and at the end of Q2 and the beginning of Q3 are issued by international universities or sober associations and organizations.
