Architecture and Computer Science Department win the Ping pong Game

Architecture Department crowned with the University of Technology’s Ping pong Championship for female students and the Computer Science Department for male students for the academic year 2021-2022, whose competitions were concluded on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Student Activities Department hall in the presence of Assistant President of Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim and a number of the heads of Engineering and scientific departments', the director of student activities at the university, lecturers and students of the university.

The Architecture Engineering Department won the title after its player Harir Muthanna beat student Ola Abdul Karim from the Electromechanical Engineering Department in two groups against one group "11-9 points, 10-12, 11-4" in the final match.

The student, Zahra Hashem, from Computer Science Department, got the third place, and the student, Thuraya Sabah, from Civil Engineering Department, got the third place, repeated, and 13 players participated in the tournament.

The player Harir Muthana won the title by defeating Zahraa Salman from Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering Department and Ali Zahraa Hashem from Computer Science Department in the semi-finals.

In the student competitions, Computer Science Department won the title after its player Abdullah Rashid won the final match over the student Faisal Muhammad from the Petroleum Technology Department in two groups without a response “11-2, 11-5".

The student, Nouri Sabah from Materials Engineering Department, got the third place, and Moataz Nabil from Control and Systems Engineering Department got the third place, repeated.

The player Abdullah Rashid won first place by defeating Ali Moataz from Communications Engineering Department, Mahmoud Nasser from Mechanical Engineering Department, Hussain Salman from Computer Engineering Department, and Moataz Nabil from Control and Systems Engineering Department in the semi-finals.

Participated in the tournament 40 players representing all Scientific and Engineering Departments' at the University.

The Assistant President of Administrative Affairs distributed individual and group awards to the winners of the first places in the male and female championship and to the judges of the championship, Assist.
