The Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop on "The Role of Psychological Counseling in Achieving Mental Balance for University Students," presented by Assistant Lecturer Rifah Kareem Mahmoud. The workshop was attended by several faculty members and students from the department.
The lecture addressed the importance of educational counseling in providing psychological, social, and academic support to students, aiming to help them face various challenges they encounter during their university life.
It also highlighted the psychological challenges university students face, including academic pressures, social challenges, anxiety, stress, and more. The lecture emphasized the role of psychological counseling, which includes providing psychological and social support, developing coping skills, and assisting students in improving their academic performance. Additionally, it supports students psychologically in dealing with anxiety, depression, and mental stress.
