Civil Engineering Department Organizes a Scientific Trip to Al-Rafidain Towers Residential Complex

As part of the scientific activities carried out by the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology, under the guidance of the dean of the department, Prof. Dr. Ali Majeed Khudair, and the supervision of the head of the Geomatics Engineering Branch, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Naim Hammoudi, and in cooperation with the Surveying Laboratory to provide students with the necessary materials for scientific trips, the Geomatics Engineering Branch organized a scientific trip for third-year students of the morning and evening studies to the Al-Rafidain Towers Residential Complex (horizontal housing units) located in Jihad neighborhood.

The visit aimed to increase students' knowledge in the field of civil engineering regarding the practical aspects of building housing units, in addition to a theoretical lecture on site for all laboratory tests that were conducted before starting and during the stages of work progress in the project. The students were accompanied on the visit by Dr. Hana Y. Adel Sahn, Dr. Ali Emad Jihad, and Lecturer Hiba Abdul Razzaq Tarish.
