The students of petroleum technology department/ third stage did a second scientific visit to Al- Ahdab field in Wasit province on 19/12/2012 , and through this visit they recognized on stages of petroleum extraction starting from drilling stage and ended with petroleum extraction stage , storage and marketing. Dr. Raad Al- Sadoon said : the engineers supervisors in field clarify the practical steps of petroleum extraction to students as well as identified them with the kinds of drilling head used according to each type of rock and types of pipes used in drilling processes and how to use modern methods in drilling of petroleum wells as well as visited the information room of rock under the surface known as the "WELL LOG" and the students examined on the dominant area of operations to extract and storage petroleum after withdrawn from wells.
