A Department of Petroleum Technology Faculty Member Participated in the International Conference of Engineering in Canada

      Dr. Aqeel Abdullah Mohammed / a faculty member in the department of petroleum technology participated in the International Conference on Engineering and Information Technology, which organized by the Maple International Center in Toronto - Canada for a period of 17 - 18/9/2012 and the nature of participation was a research presentation under the title: "Natural Convection heat transfer in horizontal annuli with inner elliptic and circular cylinder". Dr.  Aqeel Abdullah Mohammed has stated that the importance of this research reflected in the solar water heaters, industrial ovens, solar complexes, nuclear reactors, energy transporting systems, phase change materials and other important engineering applications. This work has found a desirability of the Organizing Committee of the conference and was published in a special folder on the conference. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Aqeel Abdullah has published more than (17) papers, and (3)of them in scientific conferences.The president of Petroleum Technology Department briefed on the difficulties faced by the students of the Department and stresses the importance of finding the best solutions to them:23/10/2012 .For closer parental relationship between teachers and students and to find out the difficulties they face, the president of Department met the students of the third stage on Tuesday, 23/10/2012 in the conference room and in the presence of assistances of the Department president for Scientific Affairs and Administrative and the head of petroleum engineering branch. First, Dr. Mohammed AlJawad opened the door of the dialogue, by welcoming them and wishing them further progress in all aspects of life, and look to turn on the most important problems of study by the students, especially from the organizational aspects and training as well as their status within the dormitories, stressing the need to find the most suitable solutions to them, according to the university system in place and in order to provide for the student better teaching materials and creativity.   At the end of the meeting the president of the department urged the students to make maximum scientific and practical energies and efforts for the great Iraq.
