      The petroleum technology department organize an introductory lecture about international engineers association (SPE) on 13/11/2012 on AL- Kindy conference room in electromechanical engineering department, delivered by associate chief engineer (Kais Saleh Mahdy) from south oil company and in the presence of head of department Dr. Mohammed Saleh AL-Jawad and his deputies and number of professors, employees and the department students.The most important axes in the lecture is to give the students the idea about what is Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) and how was established and the way of subscription in (EPS) and what is future benefits from subscription in this association.

Dr. Mohammed Saleh AL-Jawad, the head of department urge the department students to join the EPS because of its benefit and effect on the scientific and practical students' levels which provides them great fame at the level of oil companies. At the end the head of department offered thanks and appreciation to the lecturer, for his distinguished effort and his service to the association and cooperative spirit that infuse.
