Within the joint cooperation mechanism between the Iraqi universities and the oil sector and in the presence of the Senior Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Qassim Mohammad Doss Aletabi and president of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamir representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Senior Undersecretary, Mr. Fayadh Hassan Niamaa for the oil ministry, the head of Petroleum Technology department,  Prof. Mohammed Salih AlJawad participated in the meeting to discuss a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Oil Ministry on Thursday, 14/1/2016 at the Oil Cultural Center Hall.

The discussion included topics of supporting ways carried out by Iraqi Ministry of Oil for universities by providing laboratory equipments and materials as well as providing scholarship opportunities for graduate students to get a master and doctorate degrees by the oil licensing rounds decades in addition to cooperation in the field of training and conducting scientific studies and research
