In order to encourage students to speak English for their subjects and their own business and in the presence of President of the University of Technology,  Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer, the English Language Center at the University of Technology has held the first event of its kind in Iraqi universities ((Speak up Technology)) at the University Theater on Wednesday, 16/03/2016.

The participating students have touched various topics indicating a conscious thought to break the barrier of the students by speaking in English language, which is the language of communication between academic peoples.

The event was attended by several heads of academic departments and the representative of the American Embassy and the American AMIDEAST Organization, Media Foundation as well as Q-Card company.

Two fourth stage Students from our department / Master's student Amir Hameed Talib and Mazen Jawdat Shabib participated in this event and have attained the first three finishers. At the end of the event, they were certificated with appreciation letters which were distributed to subscribers by the English Language Center.
