An agreement with the university research chair and the University Technological Petroleum Projects Company

Signed the Technological University / Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Agreement (research chair) with Oil Ministry on Monday 07/10/2013 at the conference hall at the University of Technology Petroleum Engineering Department.

    The agreement was signed by the president of the University, Dr.  Ameen Douai Thamer, Director General of Oil Projects Company, Ms. Nihad Ahmed Moses and a number of the heads of academic departments, research centers and scientific, administrative assistants and advanced level cadre of Oil Projects Company.

    She stated as the director petroluem projects " deemed Oil Projects Company to take the lead by putting a new style and a promising step in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the ministers to serve the interest of the company so as to keep pace with scientific development happening in the world, and extend my thanks and appreciation to all contributors to the success and completion of this agreement finalized after the introduction of modifications of observations and discussions lasted for almost a year , this agreement is a fundamental building block for joint cooperation between Iraqi universities , particularly the University of Technology and institutions practical / applied that are represented  by  oil projects , and I hope that cooperation on research projects future task of the parties ( academic and industrial ) , and we are always on the ready to overcome all obstacles and implementation of research projects and our doors are open to all institutions of higher education and scientific research "

   Dr . Ameen Douai Thamer stressed on the importance of joint action between the two parties , " The university was and will remain a tributary of each state institutions and public , including the Ministry of Oil and the gates of the university is open to Oil Projects Company , in order to build the country has to be a joint effort that starts with and researchers first and the beginning must n be the beginning of a successful based on work and joint efforts that serve the orientations of the country , said the oil company projects step .. a big step .. cherish must be the success of this Convention to return usefulness of the student and teacher together and society in general”.

   The head of a section Dr. Mohammed Saleh Jawad stated: The purpose of the establishment of the chair research was to develop a common basis between the two sides academic and applied / industrial for the establishment of research projects productivity for Oil Projects Company to be the intellectual property rights for the benefit of the company, as the idea of ​​creating this project (research chair) were from by oil projects and the contribution of professors from the University of Technology, took one year to complete the formation of committees , meetings and discussions , correspondence , and finally we came to this convention and included various topic.
