University of Technology third year performs a seismic fields surveys within the University of Technology |

Proceeding from the principle of scientific
cooperation between the Petroleum Department and The Depth
Excavation Company of geo- physical explorations conducted with
third year students fields work of seismic refraction within
the university campus in the garden of the presidency for two
hours on Monday, 16.12.2013 which was accompanied by students
by their department head Dr . Akil Abdullah and department
coordinator, Ahmed Abdullah and lecturer material of Geophysics,
Dr. Hussein Abdel Wahab and cadre of the company headed by Mr.
Zafar Abdul Latif.
According to the lecturer, the aim of this fieldwork is the practical application of what the student has learned from this article and observe some of the devices and how to erect and implement the collection of results , stockpiling and transfer of scanning devices to devices of interpretation and analysis as well as use the results of field work in the lab for analysis and interpretation in practice , the devices that were used for the purpose of conducting field work : a seismic survey , the control unit (Abem Terraloc MK6), hammer , cable reel (2) , tape measure , geophone (12).
