    In order to keep pace with developments in the global scientific process and provide all the modern appliances, the University of Technology Petroleum Department processing labs section iPods modern scientific majoring in petroleum engineering.

     The Associate in Science Section Dr. Aswar Abdul Rasul: imported modern equipment majoring in petroleum engineering of ( 63) device scientifically recently to overcome the difficulties and achieve the benefit of science for students and researchers of all , in the laboratory drilling fluids were purchased (15) GTX newly regard to the definition of the students on the properties of new drilling fluids and conditions field (machinery) The laboratory reservoir modern supplied by (12 ) modern devices developed to study the experiences relevant characteristics petro physical rock reservoir and fluid properties of reservoir from tests of pressure, heat and tests runoff which are of importance for the petroleum engineer , also equipped laboratory technology oil  (2 ) two research Unit oil, one oil research  (1) one unit only , as it is a laboratory oil technology of the most important laboratories section through outfitted with the latest equipment and technologies that keep pace with the oil industry and covers the entire testing in the oil either laboratory and research unit , are the conduct research experiments for researchers inside section and abroad and graduate students in the future and is equipped to a magnetic resonance imaging to examine the models of rock , a device used for the first time in Iraq and provided laboratory structural geology  (29 ), a device to train the students to study the structures and ground geological maps and computer lab No. 2 was supplied by (4) modern equipment includes : (31) a computer and blackboard smart display screen (1 each) and UPS (31) number through the use of software on recent engineering oil and special engineered reservoirs and evaluate formations and analysis sensors wells which laboratories complementary materials theory , which achieves the benefit of science for students of first and second stages the third and fourth terms of this laboratory is the first step to work in field locations to give students experience in their specialization.
