 Students in Petroleum Technology Department in scientific visit to Maysan Oil Company

 from 25/01 to 30/01/2014

     Proceeding from the principle of scientific communication between academic institutions and field work has established the University of Technology Petroleum Department scientific visit for the students of the fourth stage to the Maysan Oil Company, accompanied by teaching and engineers section for the period 25-30/1/2014. Platform visit included lectures to students and then going to field trips to connect theoretical ideas with practical work.

     First day included: from the curriculum to go to the implementation group, the field Bazargan where he was giving a lecture comprehensive safety and the safety equipment and the most important materials that maintain the safety of the worker, the work and the importance of role of students in maintaining the integrity of any facility with the presentation of videos about the most important events that have been neglected by the safety in the oil industry , followed by a lecture on CNUK Chinese company and the date of its establishment and the most important work performed and achievable in the near future , such as the removal of mines , drilling contracts towers , reclamation wells and renew old plants by a company representative.

     Second day: from the visit was a lecture for the department of drilling by the head of the excavation Mr. Ali return and an official Division Drilling Engineer Muhammad Sabih was explaining the drilling operations currently under way with the development plan and explain how the horizontal drilling of the well and the technical with surrounding all parts of the tower and ways to assemble and address as well as to the most important challenges facing the drilling , such as the presence of mines in the fields and the nature of the pressure under the surface in addition to the types of productive classes and nature of the ensuing lecture tour to the tower (44 ), where the students were divided into four groups and presided over all the records of a group of students in a round field to apply what has been mentioned in the lecture on the ground.

     Third day : it was a lecture concerning the operations completive own wells and are currently used in drilling as well as all types of completive and reclamation , and the difference between the type of use to another  type.

     Fourth day: heading to  directly to the surface facilities for the isolation of the field Bazargan, where students were given a detailed explanation about the most important structures and methods of isolation and sequencing their own on how much pressure has been mentioned types and sizes used for each tank of each stage of the insulation.

     Fifth day : The final day was spent to where the company's headquarters has been a special lecture on all details of production processes and types has also been shown numerous videos productivity and put a concrete example for all the operations that have been mentioned in the lecture theory.

     Students have shown admiration and benefit from all the lectures the fact that most of their graduation projects are directly related to these lectures and visits were also answer all their questions and inquiries by lecturers, who look cooperation big in this area, and we wish to repeat such scientific visits for students and all department stages. 

     The number of students participating in the trip is (52) students were accompanied by some of the teaching and engineers  of the section, assistant engineer, Imad Abdul Hussein, assistant engineer, Jihad Ali Abdul- Hussein , assistant engineer,  Haitham Taha , assistant  engineer,Zainab Mohammed.

      Departure was from the front of the Technological University at exactly eight O'clock in the day on Saturday 01/25/2014 return was back to Baghdad on Friday, which falls 31/01/2014 O'clock noon.

     During these days the training of students of the fourth stage at the Maysan Oil Company /implementation body of Bazargan field and hosting company CNUK Chinese, on a daily basis, according to the curriculum and sequence: Lecture theory for two hours almost followed by a tour process field for two hours also with accompanying committee report to the company, and are starting back to the guesthouse at approx 14:00 almost every day.

     The number of students participating in the trip 52 students , with four professors escorts , assistant engineer Imad Abdul Hussain , assistant engineer,  Jihad Hussein , assistant  Engineer Haitham Taha and assistant engineer Zainab Mohammed.

     The completion of hosting the teaching staff and students at the guesthouse Maysan Oil Company, the teaching staff, female in the main house, and the male in the attached house. 

     The pathway to go to the field Bazargan run at approx 11:00 on Sunday, 26.01.2014, where he was giving a lecture about safety and comprehensive safety equipment and the most important materials that maintain the safety of the worker, the work and the importance of the role of the people in maintaining the integrity of any establishment was presented by professor Hossam Ramadan (a specialist safety and international lecturer).

Has also presented several videos about the most important incidents in which are neglected in the safety of the oil industry.

     After the lecture , the company representative to talk about the company CNUK and the date it was founded , and the most important business done and achievable in the coming period by the company such as mine clearance, contract drilling towers , old wells, reclamation and renovation of old plants.  

     The second day was a lecture for the department of drilling, where he explained drilling is currently running with the development plan of their own, where the company got the tender to drill 39 wells, new special fields Bazargan and Abu Graib... been explained by horizontal drilling technology with its own explanation for all tested parts of the tower and methods compiled.

     Explanation of the most important challenges of drilling and most importantly the presence of mines in the fields, and the nature of the subsurface pressures in addition to the types and nature of the productive layers.

They were lecturers, Professor Muhammad Sabih and Professor Ahmed Darwish.

     The lecture followed a tour of the tower (44), with lecturers for the purpose of access to what has been mentioned in the lecture on the ground and after completion was referring to the company and have lunch and then return to the guesthouse. 

     The third day, and because of the situation of air could not go out in the round operation, and they belong to the lecture operations completions own wells and drilling currently being used in addition to all kinds of completions and reclamation and use the difference between the kind and another, stemmed lecture and lunch for lecturers were on the return trip.

     The fourth day was to go directly to the surface facilities specialist in isolation for field Bazerkan, was the detail explanation of students about the most important facilities and methods of isolation and sequencing its own has also been mentioned types of pressure used and the sizes of each tank of each stage of the insulation, it was back to the headquarters of the operation, and then a snack lunch and then go back to the guesthouse.

     Fifth and final day was to go to the company's headquarters and display a special lecture operations of production and all the details and types , as has been promised videos productive and put up a concrete example with his accounts of his request by Mr. Fadi Amshee also been explained separation processes gas from the oil produced by Professor Maytham.

     After the lecture, students were taken on a tour of the station to isolate the gas trap with a realistic all the processes that have been mentioned in the lecture theory. 

     There was benefit from these lectures for all students, especially that most of the projects he graduated fourth stage directly related to all the lectures and the Web sites you visit, where she was all the lectures and tours carry a lot of questions and inquiries for students according to each individual graduation project, which received answers by thanked lecturers.  

    Thus, we wish continued steps to serve our department and our beloved country, where is the first step toward linking the theoretical fact of life process for each of our students, which leads to the formation of integrated ideas about the nature of future work and the creation of certain orientations of each of them by his desire to work and type of work.
