University of Technology Petroleum Department in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education at the University basic course in Occupational Health and Safety for the period from 26-30/1/2014 lectured by the teacher Layla Latif, teaching cadre in the department. The aim of the lecture of this course is to introduce participants to the fundamentals and concepts of occupational health and safety and how to apply them in the workplace for the purpose of reducing accidents and work-related injuries, which included platform session as follows: Introduction to Occupational Health, Introduction to occupational safety, risk classification work , ways to reduce risk and control as well as occupational diseases and ways to prevent them. The participants in this session of the employees in the departments of Occupational Safety and sections of productivity and technical workshops and laboratories for each of the ministries Housing and Construction / Wasit University and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.
