The Petroleum Technology department carried out a scientific visit to the South Oil Company

For the students acquisition of practical skills in the field sites, the Petroleum Technology Department has established a scientific visit for the students of the third stage to the SOC/ Basra province for a period of 7-13 / 2/2015 accompanied by each of the department teaching delegation; Ms.  Jihad Hussein and engineers Haitham Taha, Noor Naseer and Marwan Mohammed.

The visit was for five days where included many oil and fields sites located in the province of Basra. The students briefly revealed during their visit the workshops in Albrjsuh  location which specialized in reclamation and maintenance. In addition, the students completed a course on health and safety in the Rumaila field and certificates of participation were distributed to them under the auspices of Petrofac Safety Company and BP oil responsible for the field. As well as a field trip was carried out for intensive insulators and drilling operations.

Then the student visited the West Qurna site and stations and installations affiliate. The students also visited a Majnoon oil field and learned about the latest equipments used in drilling and reclamation and maintenance operations of the wells as well as access to a private company plans with regard to the future of the field investment
