The president of the Petroleum Technology Department, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Jawad presided the Scientific Committee meeting of the third Iraq oil and gas conference in the headquarter of the Ministry of Oil / R & D center of oil on Monday, 05.25.2015 which to be held in the city of Amarah / next month (October) of 2015.

The Committee discussed during the meeting the abstracts and studies presented by researchers which service into the development of the oil industry in Iraq and the mechanism to select the best ones. The number of abstracts received reached nearly 190 research provided by Iraqi and foreign universities and companies, as well as different ministries. The University of Technology owns the largest share in terms of the number of papers submitted, as it reached (15) in search.

It is worth mentioning that the oil ministry will hold the third conference of oil and gas under the slogan (hydrocarbon wealth to ensure a better life) after the overwhelming success of the first and second Confrence which were mounted in Basra and Baghdad for the years 2011 and 2013.

The members of the Scientific Committee are: Dr. Jabbar Laij Ali/ oil exploration company, Dr. Haitham Raouf Ahmed / Office of the General Inspector, Dr. Aaid Jaber Imran / Midland Refineries Company, Dr. Safa Hussein Sami / Directorate of reservoir and field development in addition to Dr. Yousef Jawad Kadhim /Oil Training Institute, Baghdad.
