The University of Technology was honored today, to host the Vice President of the University of Basra, Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan. The President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir expressed his pleasure at the cooperative effort between the two universities.

It is worth mentioning that this cooperation was to activate the joint memorandum of cooperation

, that was established between the universities, especially in terms of Oil and Gas Production. Also present at the meeting were Ass. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajmi Sukkar (Dean of Petroleum Technology Department), and Dr.Basim Abdulbaki  (Head of the Computer Engineering Department).

During his visit the Vice President of the University of Basra explored the Petroleum Technology Department, met with management staff in the department, and inspected a number of the scientific laboratories. Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan conveyed across the University of Basra's willingness for scientific cooperation with the Petroleum Technology department, and his hopes for an open the horizon of scientific research between them in petroleum industries.
