Students Seminar for summer training for petroleum technology department

 Under the sponsorship of the president of University of Technology (Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir), petroleum technology department hold a  (Seminar for students summer training in the oil site ) at the conference hall Of the department on Tuesday, 13/3/2012 In the presence of the president of university of technology And a number of Heads of Departments ,Professors , associate and students  To discuss the summer training projects Carried out by students at the sites of oil during the summer holidays. President of University of Technology (Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir) said We must first show that the main character is the character of the University of Applied enter students in the production and application sites, and is a feature that boasts the University of Technology And who will graduate from our university have the ability to understand   the theoretical and applied at the same time.

He added that The students have to spent certain time  in the training center, laboratories or anywhere else in the area for  productivity because it will reflect their  information on the scientific side. As regards to the oil sector we found that it is necessary for the  student to be  in the production of oil places. To get experience in his career ,in addition to have applied ingredients which is without them can not be succeed in its future work. He wish successes for all of the students in order to serve our country (Iraq).

The head of petroleum technology department (Ass. Prof. Dr. Khalid AjmiSukkar) said that that Seminar highlights the training programs carried out by the students of the Department in the oil fields in cooperation with companies and the oil ministry during the summer training he added The students have had experience through training in the oil fields and under the supervision of professors and engineers, which helps them to elevates the level of the trainee to be an engineer Adding that the University of Technology took great interest in the practical aspect of the curriculum.

Dr. RmaziSehud Hamid  (Administrative Associate) Who chaired the seminar said that: The number of students participating in summer training for the year 2010-2011 amounted to 76 students out of 81 students And were presented (40) reports by the trainees where selected 6 reports presented during the seminar Included topics related to earth geology , drill tower , drill string , the cycle of drilling fluid and drilling oil wells and the reservoir pressure and the relationship to production.
