The Information Technology Center at the University of Technology concluded a course on (SQL Server 2012 Database Processor) with the participation of trainees representing a number of state departments.

The course included several items including introduction to SQL Server 2012, its versions and nature, the installation of the Enterprise version on Server2003, the installation of the Workstation version of the Clients, the addition of Logins and the connection to SQL Server 2012 in two ways: Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication, as well as analysis of database systems and database building Work tables and work links.

The course aimed to gain the participant's experience in analyzing and building SQL Server 2012 network databases and managing them.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held a lecture about  "Time Use and Self-Management Skills" at Dar Al-Salam Hall in the Department.

The lecture was given by Dr. Mai Hamoudi Abdullah of the Institute of Technical Medicine. She spoke about the importance of time, its investment and management from one person to another, from society to society, from environment to environment, according to the understanding of the meaning of life and its components.

The seminar was attended by the head of the department ,Ass.Prof. Dr. Jamal Al-Rubaie, scientific and administrative assistants, Lecturer  and members of the department.

Lecturer participates in conference

University of technology delegated Prof.Dr. Thamer Jasim to Basrah to participate in Iraqi fourth conference for oil and gas

4ICOG through presenting his research which is taken from the master thesis of the student Saif Habeb "Treatment of Refinery Industry Wastewater Using Ion Exchange Technology and Studies Kinetics and Thermo-dynamic Parameters"

The conference was held in 13-14/12/2107 and was sponsored by the Ministry of Oil - Oil Research and Development Center.

The conference included the following topics: oil production and reservoirs, erosion in oil installations, gas technology and associated gas investment, refining and product improvement, environment and safety in the oil industry, explorations and oil geology, oil drilling technology and its problems.

Within the activities of scientific and cultural activity for the first semester of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology for the academic year 2017-2018  the department held a Seminar discussion titled

On Dijla hall in the department with the presence of the Head of Electrical Engineering Department, Assist.Prof. Dari Yousef Mahmoud, and the scientific ,administrative deputy, Assist.Prof. Abbas Hussain Issa and the, Dr. Kanaan Ali Jalal, heads of scientific branches and a number of the Lecturers of the department and its staff.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Mounes Ezzeddine Ali and Dr. Mohamed Khodair Abdul, which presented the method of assessing the extent to which students acquire skills and abilities based on the performance index, the scale and presentation of the method of preparing the ABET table.
