Continuing Education Center at the University of Technology held a course on modern methods and skill in conducting interviews and negotiating art with trainees who represent the Ministry of Oil and Missan Oil Company.

The course aims at introducing participants to the art of negotiation skillfully and how to achieve the desired gain and support entry into a slide leading to decline and loss.

Its platform includes negotiation, enabling the negotiator to achieve the best results, what may or may not be disclosed to the other party in the negotiating process, good bargaining, mutual gains and negotiation techniques.

 A delegation from the University of Technology participated under the chairmanship of Prof. Alaa Abdul Hassan Ateaa, Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs in the workshop on Stephen's initiative which was held in Erbil governorate for the period from 3 to 7 March. And the assistant president of the university said that Stephen's initiative is a financial grant from the US State Department to the Aspen Institute and Paul State University to match 1,000 American students with 1,000 Iraqi students. The University of Technology has been selected from 4 Iraqi universities: Anbar, Tikrit and Salahalddin in the Kurdistan Region and He added that during the workshop, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Aspen Institute and Paul State University. The program will be launched soon so that the students will be selected according to the required specializations, provided they have a good ability to speak English.They are then offered an intensive course at the IT Center of the University of Technology on the CANVAS e-learning system.He noted that this program is a unique opportunity for our university to be part of a program being pursued from the highest levels in the United States.It is worth mentioning that the delegation of the University of Technology included Dr. Alaa Abdul Hadi, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, Dr. Rana Farid Ghani, Director of Information Technology Center, Dr. Najem Abdul Kadhim, Program Coordinator, and Eng. He noted that this program is a unique opportunity for our university to be part of a program being pursued from the highest levels in the United States.The Delegation of the University of Technology included  Dr. Alaa Abdul Hadi, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, Dr. Rana Farid Ghani, Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Najem Abdul Kadhem Program Coordinator and  Assistant Lecturer Edrees Alaa  programmer
