The Director of the Center for Energy Technology and Renewable Energies at the University of Technology, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Amir Hussain published scientific research in the magazine

International Journal of ChemTech Research,

For the preparation and diagnosis of 3-Amin Coumarin derivatives as an antagonist, eat a natural organ with good inhibitory performance

In which the researcher developed an inhibitor of natural corrosion based on Coumarin as a primary nucleus of interactions.

The objective was to accurately analyze the elements (carbon-hydrogen-nitrogen), infrared spectroscopy and NMR spectra, which revealed the precise structure of the environmental-friendly corrosion inhibitor. The corrosion inhibitory efficiency of the prepared inhibitor was evaluated in the hydrochloric acid solution by weight loss technique.

The inhibitory efficiency was increased on the basis of increasing the concentration of the inhibitor, where it became 86% with the highest experimental concentration. In addition to the inhibitory efficiency, there was a decrease with high temperature. The electron microscopy between the damping inhibitor of the soft steel surface has been achieved by absorbing the environmentally friendly damper particles on the surface of the mild steel and forming a film that keeps the metal from corrosion on the surface of the soft steel

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held the scientific symposium (Water Sustainability and Challenges of the Future) in cooperation with the Faculty of Future University on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Dar  Salaam Hall in the department in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Jamal Mana Ali, and a number of heads of branches, teachers, employees and students of the university.

The Dean of the Future College said: "Due to the importance of water as a natural resource to meet the various human, agricultural and industrial needs and the increasing use of water as a result of increasing population numbers and scarcity of resources. In addition to the increasing problems of pollution and salinity due to agricultural uses. And scientific utilization of the maximum of wastewater and saline recycling as an additional and important source of water.

The Department of Chemical Engineering said that the department always seeks cooperation with all universities and colleges, especially the relevant ones. He pointed out that the department has recently held a conference on graduate research which included several researches. Today we are witnessing another cooperation with the civil education. Where it discusses the issue of water sustainability in Iraq, which is important and sensitive in this period of time.

The symposium included three axes: the applications of membrane technology in the water sector, the second on the recycling and use of water and the third on the environmental reality of the Tigris River.

In conclusion, certificates were distributed to participants

Eilaf Khalid Abbas The student from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology lecture entitled:

(Improvement in reducing water flow impedance in nanotubes)

The nanowave fluid contributes to a significant energy and cost savings, as nanowire is added at low concentrations such as parts per million to the solution. These small quantities play a dominant role in reducing disturbance and causing a significant reduction in friction losses. In this study, the effect of nanotubes will be verified as a limiting factor for the disruption of water flow in pipelines. The tested liquid will be water, and the nanoscale fluid used is water and nanoparticles, which will be used in five different concentrations. The experimental part of the experimental system will consist of four different pipe types. The water will be pumped at different flow rates for each type of pipe and at room temperature. Study of the effect (additive type, additive concentration, pipe type, flow rate) on the percentage of reduction of disability and percentage of increases in flow as percentages. The best conditions are calculated to reduce disability in different tubes and in different operating conditions. The results of disability reduction will be linked to the basis of the adjustment using an arithmetic program. The results will show the correlation between the low disability ratio in the practical trials with the theoretical and expected results.

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held a workshop on the importance of planning in the life of young people (what after graduation) in which Dr. Ziad Salim Al-Husseini, the international training expert in human development director of the Iraqi Center for Creativity and Development delivered a lecture in the presence of the Vice- Alaa Abdul-Hassan Attieh, Head of Material Engineering Department, and Dr. Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, and a number of presidents, professors, students and students of the university on the conference hall in the Department of Engineering Control and Systems on 30/4/2017

The researcher said that the Iraqi Center for Creativity and Development holds lectures for young people in the third and fourth year of the study of what after graduation in the first half of the academic year in a number of colleges entitled Yashabab Khali "start it" right now and in the second half of the academic year we start lectures what after graduation. In this lecture we draw the attention of young people to the need to put a vision of their lives where there is a sense of motivation, where we know that everyone is afraid and frustrated by the vagaries of the future, but we have to instill in them a kind of confidence in themselves to be able to look to the future with a more open mind and show them the term of effectiveness and collective victory and how Adding that ten jobs would be required for the market to work for the coming years: programming, information security, data analysis, alternative energy, international law, three-dimensional printing, distance learning, marketing, personal advisor and financial planner.

The head of the Materials Engineering Department praised the lecture as being unique and instructing the young and future students to graduate to the mechanism of job search, and that young graduates are discouraged in the absence of job opportunities. The researcher addressed many ways in planning the future and finding suitable opportunities in the labor market.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the head of the department presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer.

The discussion committee was headed by Dr. Hadi Tarash, a student from the University of Technology, as the head of the UD, Dr. Uthid Hassan Saloumi, from Mustansiriya University, Dr. Ahmed Ghanem, and Dai from the Al Furat Al Osat University. Dr. Razi Jabr Shgheib supervisors from the University of Technology.

The new generation of O-OFDM is a topic of interest to researchers these days. Its basic requirements for

achievement are accessibility and capability, as OFDM is a special case of FDM, a multi-carrier MCM.
