participated in the 4th Iraq Oil and Gas Conference held at the oil cultural center in Basra for two days with  the presence of a large number of experts and engineers working and interested in the oil sector.

The conference presented 80 scientific researches in the field of oil and gas industry, including research and postgraduate studies in the department.

 The participants are: Assist.Prof.Dr Mohammed Saleh Al-Jawad, Head of the Department, Assist.Prof.Dr.Assour Abdul Rasool, Assist.Prof.Dr. Najem Abdul Kadhim, Assist.Prof.Dr Ramzi Sahioud, and  Assis.Lect. Mohamed Ghazi,Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Hassan and Dr. Maysa Ali and students Ghufran Faleh and the Massara Salam and Amir Ali and Ibrahim Abdel Salam.

 

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held a workshop within the program of seminar entitled:

(Importance and requirements of graduation projects)

The workshop focused on the scientific and methodological formula to discuss the graduation of the students of the fourth stage and to clarify the basic requirements and the correct scientific methods that the student should follow during the research period and focus on how to write the graduation project in a linguistic and scientific manner, in order to serve the requirements of successful scientific research and benefit from this research in all fields Serving industry and society.

The workshop included answering all inquiries from students, discussing the issues of their research and focusing on meeting the deadline for writing the project.

The lectures were given by the Assist.Prof.Dr. Alaa Hassan Ali and Assist.Prof.Dr. wafa Mahdi Saleh.

The Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations at the University of Technology held a workshop in cooperation with a professional organization for the Better Iraq  to discuss the topic of "Risk Management" at Al-Kindi Hall in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering.

Representatives of the organization gave lectures on how to manage risks, as well as addressing the most important standards of quality management and its applicability at the University of Technology

       The Control and Systems Engineering  Department  at the University of Technology held a workshop on "(How to write scientific research and publishing in international journals

The course was conducted by Prof. Dr. Salim Khalifa Kadhim from Control and Systems Engineering and, Assist.Prof..Laith Jafar Habib from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, a lecture on what is the scientific research, research design, research problems, references and documentation, and what are the published magazines and what is Thomson, Routers&Scopus

And how to publish the research in the magazine and what is the coefficient of influence(Impact Factor) A group of graduate and postgraduate students in the department received valuable information on how to write scientific research and to publish in international journals

 

The Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations at the University of Technology held a workshop in cooperation with a professional organization for Better Iraq to discuss quality standards for laboratories at Al-Kindi Hall in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering.

Representatives of the organization gave lectures on the medical devices and their applications, as well as addressing the most important standards of quality of the detectives and their applicability at the University of Technology.
