Continuing Education Center at the University of Technology organized a specialized training course on water treatment of steam boilers from 22 till 26 / 4/2018 with the participation of trainees from the General Company for Food Products, the General Company for the Mining Industries and Al-Faris General Company.

On the basis of cooperation principle between educational institutions and state departments,  Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a scientific visit to the fourth grade students in the electronic engineering branch to the Ministry of Electricity / Training and Development Department under the supervision of the professors of the branch to view the latest developments in the field of renewable energies, espacailly15kW solar cells that are synchronized with the national grid and 0.4kW low voltage and three phases.

 They also attend the scientific symposium "extensive generation in distribution sector" which was presented by the representative of the training and development department, Dr. Nasir Karim Qassem.

The group was welcomed by the staff of training and development department of the Ministry of Electricity.

The aim of the course is to introduce engineers and operators in the steam boiler unit to the most important problems in steam boilers, as well as the definition of the methods of water treatment boilers, as well as the latest methods and techniques used worldwide to improve the efficiency of steam boilers.

The course included the problems of steam boilers, corrosion in their pipes, water treatment of steam boilers, as well as modern techniques used to improve the work and performance of steam boilers.The course was presented by Raheeq Ismail from Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology.

Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a course on "Controlling the types and applications of operations" with the participation of employees, postgraduate students and fourth stage students.

The lecture was attended by lec. Sfana Mashar, Lec. Haydar Maitham and Eng. Hussein Sarhan, who gave an introduction to the control of processes and types of sensors and devices used in industrial control systems, such as pressure control, heat flow and fluid flow. And the dominant design of the internal model, which is one of the optimal controls and the statement of weaknesses. In addition to the design of the control of retroactive nutrition in addition to the front nutrition, which possesses acceptable composure and the ability to reject the external influences where these controls were applied using simulators on a number of systems, including the chemical reactor and heat exchanger.

Continuing Education Center at the University of Technology organized a course on the documentation of the administrative work models and the method of documenting them for the period 29/4 - 3/5 - 2018 with the participation of 56 trainees representing the Rafidain University and the University of Technology.

The course aimed to train the participants on the mechanism of documentation and coding procedures and work models to prepare the manual of administrative work procedures in accordance with the requirements of quality assurance in the performance of educational institutions.

Prof. Farhad Mohammed Othman, Director of the Center, said that the curriculum of the course includes clarifying the concept of procedures and work models, clarifying the concept of documentation and documenting the work procedures, the levels of the documentation structure, the importance of the job description and its relation to the documentation of the work procedures, as well as the steps of documenting the work procedures and its models and components. , As well as the construction of pilot models of the working procedure document.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Maha Abdul Karim Hamoud, Director of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Technology.
