Dept. of Control and Systems Engineering is Discussing a Master Thesis
A master thesis was discussed in Control and Systems Engineering Dept. at U.O.T. entitled:
(Design of Robust Fractional Order Controllers Using Particle Swarm Optimization)
The research of student /Selwan Yaqoub Yousef, major in control engineering, included an explanation of how, in recent years, many researchers have used micro-powered control devices to enhance the controlled system and improve performance in the field of control.
The researcher pointed out that most real systems are exposed in particular to the effect of noise on measuring devices and external disturbance and inaccuracy in the parameter values of the model, so the classical controller does not guarantee that the durability conditions of the system are met from the effects of sensor noise and turbulence, so the comparison between the classical and fractional controllers shows for each case in this work the superiority of the fractal-ordered controller, the partial-arrangement controller can achieve performance Better than the classic performance.
