(Smart Oil Pipeline Health Monitoring based on IoT Technology)
The thesis of the student (Sabreen Jawad Sabwan), majoring in Computer Engineering, included a proposal for an integrated Internet of Things system with cloud services to monitor the structure of oil pipelines. The system relies on collecting data from sensor nodes attached to the pipeline structure, which collectively form a network of IoT devices connected to the AWS cloud, to analyze the measurements and classify new events according to their distances from the sensor nodes. In Baghdad, among the five refineries, Random Forest achieved a rating of 92%.
