Lecturers from of Materials Engineering Department obtain a patent

Lecturers, Assist. Prof. Dr. Fadel Abbas Hashem and Assist. Prof. Dr Nevin Jamal Abdel Kadefrom from Materials Engineering Department at UOT obtain a patent entitled

"Processing of Recycling Al Alloys Based Metal Matrix Composites Reinforced with Nano BN Particles"

They clarified that recycled materials were used to manufacture composite materials with a metal base from A201, reinforced with different weight ratios of boron nitride nanoparticles by using mixing plumbing technology and pouring them into specially designed molds to reduce defects.

Many mechanical tests were performed, such as hardness, wear and tensile tests, in addition to studying the properties of the microstructure and studying the behavior of corrosion.

The results showed that the recycled aluminum alloy was improved by adding nanoparticles.
