The University of Technology Celebrates Its Graduates from previous years
Under the sponsorship of the President of U.O.T. , Prof. Dr. Ahmed M. Hassan Al-Ghaban, the University’s graduates held the first meeting for its graduates, in the presence of the Vice – President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abed Dhahad , head of Control and Systems Engineering Dept. , Azad Rahim Karim, and a number of department directors, professors and graduates, in conference hall in Control and Systems Engineering Dept.
Prof. Dr. Haider Abed Dhahad directed in his speech in which he welcomed the university’s graduates, as he is one of its sons, as he completed his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies there.
He mentioned that in Times classification for this year, the university was ranked first locally and was ranked 801 globally, and this progress came as a result of the efforts of the university's teaching staff.
He praised the meeting with gradutes, expressing that it is a real opportunity to communicate, and through it we launched the University of Technology graduates initiative from among the distinguished graduates and publish their names on the university’s website to highlight their role as being a real wealth for the university under the name of the University of Technology’s ambassador and as part of the system of qualifying and training new graduates to acquire skills, adding that we are working on issuing an identity for graduates University to facilitate their entry to the university.
After that, Mrs. Zubeida A. Hassan, one of the university's graduates and a member of AL Teibeen group, thanked and appreciated the presidency of the university for facilitating to hold this forum in the university's premises.
The festival included displaying a film about the University of Technology and the presentation of musical performances. After that, the sheikh of graduates was presented to the first batch of 1975/1976, Eng. Mahdi Karim, who expressed his gratitude for his presence among the graduates. After that, memorial photos were taken among the graduates.
