The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology organized a seminar in which lecturer . Ayman Shaker Awad from the Department of Environmental Pollution delivered a lecture on technology, the environment and the effects of electronic waste on the blue hall in the center on Tuesday 9/5/2017.
 The lecture showed that the rapid growth in the field of technology has led to increasing global demand for modern innovations, which led to the accumulation of many of them and converted to electronic waste, where the volume of waste such as computers, mobile phones and TVs are increasing significantly each year This affects human health and environmental integrity.
 The term "electronic waste" was used to describe electronic appliances or neglected electrical products whose life span, age of operation, or the appearance of which were more sophisticated. It is one of the fastest growing and expanding environmental pollution in the world, where UNEP estimates that approximately 8% of the world's electronic waste growth is annually. Which contain dangerous substances and toxic elements that threaten environmental safety and public health.
