Communications Eng. Dep. at UOT held a scientific symposium about cybersecurity, in the presence of the head of the department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Afaneen A. Abood, staff faculty and the department employees’. The lecture delivered by Lec. Dr. Yasmine Hamza Abdul-Amir, titled (cyber Security Between Reality and challenges)She illustrated that cybersecurity is called information security and computer security, and it is a branch of technology concerned with protecting systems, property, networks, and programs from digital attacks that usually aim to access, change, or destroy sensitive information, extort users for money, or disrupt business operations.The world now relies heavily on computers and networks to facilitate the movement of a wide range of goods and services, and cybersecurity is becoming more and more important.She touched on several pivots in this regard, including the importance of cybersecurity and types of cybersecurity.
