A lecture about an employee rights and duties in the Applied Sciences Department

The Applied Sciences Research Unit at the University of Technology hosted Dr. Mervat Qasim Abboud, a lecturer at the College of Law at Al-Mustansiriya University. To present a lecture entitled “The Rights and Duties of the Public Employee within the Public Job,” in the presence of a number of faculty and students in the department.

The lecture addressed a number of topics to clarify the employee’s rights and duties within the scope of his work in state institutions in general and institutions of higher education and scientific research in particular.

The lecture also discussed the employee's duties towards the institution in which he works and towards his officials, and the penalties that result from the employee if he does not adhere to the controls and laws.

During the lecture, extensive discussions took place that included various topics, most notably: the rights of the public employee, his salary, his regular and sick leave, and his right to bonuses and promotion as well.

The lecture concluded with the Director of the Research Unit, Prof. Dr. Rafaa Khaled Khalaf, presenting a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Mervat Qassem in appreciation of her efforts in holding the lecture.
