Applied Sciences Department discusses thesis assumed “Hyperspectral imaging for the hyperspectral microscopic study of parameters of biological samples

The doctoral thesis was discussed in the Department of Applied Sciences at the University of Technology and tagged:

“Hyperspectral imaging for hyperspectral microscopic study of biological sample parameters.”

The thesis of the student (Ali Salem Nassif) dealt with the study of hyperspectral imaging in microscopic examination to evaluate pathological changes in delicate medical preparations.

The researcher concluded that the classification of tissue types on non-colored preparations has an accuracy similar to the classification of colored preparations, which allows reducing the time and cost of analyzing tissue microslices. The work obtained hyperspectral images with high spectral-spatial resolution of micro-colored medical samples.

The discussion committee consisted of: prof. Dr. Uday Mohsen Nayef, Chairman, prof. Dr. Majed Sakhi Jaber, Prof. Dr. Hazem Kate Douai, prof. Dr. Rafid Abbas Ali, and prof. Dr. Rabia Qasim Nafel, members, under the supervision of prof. Dr. Duha Saadi Ahmed.
