The Assistant President of the University of Technology for Administrative Affairs chairs the discussion of the doctoral thesis tagged "numerical and laboratory investigations of dynamic behavior of pillars with expansions" at the University of Baghdad



The Assistant President of the University of Technology for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim chaired the discussion of a doctoral thesis for the student Maher Murad Jaber and the tagged "numerical and laboratory investigations of the dynamic behavior of the pillars with expansions" which took place in the Department of Civil Engineering / Baghdad University on Thursday, 13-2-2020

 

A lecturer from Computer Science Department at UOT obtains a certificate of participation in an electronic workshop from Wasit University and other certification

Assist. Prof. Dr. Shaima Hamid Shaker from Computer Science Department obtained a certificate of participation in an electronic workshop about (ARDUINO from Wasit University)

She also received a certificate of a training course about Corona Virus from Harvard Medical University.

In addition, she obtained a certificate of participation in an electronic workshop held by the ministerial team.

Construction and projects complete eleven engineering inventories in the university presidency and scientific departments

Construction and Projects Department at UOT has completed eleven engineering survey list in UOT Presidency, engineering and scientific departments and cent.

Department of Construction and Projects Director, Lec. Uday Hammoudi mentioned the completed engineering inventories , which are included the yellow hall, ground passage corridors, the aluminum section of the secret pen room, the entrance to the ground and third floor ladder in the university presidency, the floor and fountain rehabilitation in front of the internal section for students, and the rehabilitation inventory of bathrooms in the center Training and laboratories, the discussion rooms of Civil Engineering Department, the rehabilitation inventory of Computer Science Bridge , halls No. (1,5) and the office of UOT presidency, and inventory of treatment of falling stones for the facade of the extension building in the Production Engineering and Minerals Department and, inventory and restoration of the area located in front of Architecture Department.

Asssist. Prof. Dr. Qahtan Adnan Hamad / Materials Engineering Department / UOT participated MSc discussion, for the high-study student Asmaa Starr Hamza, that tagged:

"Effect of Cell Shape on Flexural Strength of Honeycomb Structure: Experimental and Numerical Study"

 And that was held in the discussion hall / Materials Engineering College / University of Babylon on Monday 4/5/2020,

The discussion committee consisted of:

The Conclusion

In this study, laminar honeycomb structures were prepared as overlapping materials, and the effect of the cell shape, the type of material used in cell manufacture, and the number of outer layers of this structure were studied on some mechanical and diagnostic properties such as (bending, shock, hardness, and electronic scanning). The materials used in this study are epoxy, silicon carbide, fiberglass and graphite minutes. An analytical engineering program (ansys) was used, which showed a match between practical and analytical results.

The discussion was conducted in a scientific atmosphere, and students were awarded MSc. with a grade of (accepted) after all modifying that were made by the discussants.
