AlGabban Receives the Representative of Communications Ministry
Prof.Dr.Ahmed AlGabban, the president of University of Technology, received on Wednesday Sept.23.2020 in his office the representative of Iraqi Mails at the Ministry of Communications.
During the meeting, many issued were discussed, most notably one is to resume the work in the mail office of the university after being closed for more than three years and to review the recent mail services that accompanied the development which may serve both the lecturer and the collegiate, Dr.Algabban was invited to visit the mail edifice which was opened in the middle of April 2020.
The mail edifice consists of four departments, mail exchange department (dealing with incoming and outgoing mails), postal parcels by modern techniques, call center by dialing 5512 to inquire about the mail services ( other service and business center) for all commercial activities, and the last department is data center, the newest and hugest center for data archive all over the country.
AlGabban praised this new action that serves the university interests, lecturers, collegiates and the community.
The president of the university expressed his thanks and gratitude for inviting him by the Iraqi representative, wishing him all success in serving our country.
The English Language Center at the University of Technology concludes the twenty-second session of proficiency in the English language for applicants to postgraduate studies
Under the supervision of the Director of the English Language Center, University of Technology, Assist.Dr. Hussam Hussein Ali, the Center concluded the English Language Proficiency Course (the twenty-second session) that was held for the period from 09/20/2020 until 09/24/2020, organized electronically through the Classroom platform with the participation of 149 trainees from various state ministries and the private sector.
Note that the registration was electronic via an electronic form prepared for this purpose, to avoid direct review of the center and prevent gatherings based on the recommendations of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety.
The course aimed at introducing trainees to the basics of the English language and conducting a quick and comprehensive review of the most important English language topics required in the exam through audio recordings and video clips, directing questions and inquiries by the trainees to answer them by the specialized teachers through the electronic class, in addition to training them on the electronic exam through A set of daily exams (Quiz) and video clips, this course concluded with the establishment of the final exam of the course with a total number of 108 examiners who took the exam electronically using the meet program and Google models by dividing them into two groups. The first group exam was taken at exactly four o'clock In the evening and the second group at seven o'clock in the evening, with direct follow-up by the director of the center

Gaussian 09 program was used for the basic principles of functional density theory (ab-initio) with general regression approximation using 6-311 G for (Zn, S) B3LYP, as well as the SDD function with respect to (Cd) to calculate the electronic properties and spectral properties of the II-VI ZnxCd1 group. -xS, CdS, ZnS, and Rezoides at the molecular scale (Molecule and Cyclohexane) as well as at the nanoscale that included nanotube structures (one wurtziod tube, two wurtziod tubes 2c and three triwurtziod tubes closed at (3.0)).
The discussion took place in a scientific atmosphere, and the student was granted PhD degree with a grade of (fulfilled) after completing all the amendments that were put by the discussants.

A meeting was held for The President Assistant of Scientific Affairs and High Studies (Assist. Prof. Dr. Hyder Abd Dahd) with members of the Control and Systems Engineering Department Board and members of the scientific committee and high studies committee in the department on Monday 9/21/2020 at the department’s conference hall
In the meeting, a number of scientific topics related to entering international classifications and increasing the publishing of researches within global, in addition to other topics, including teaching and supervision of high studies. The president assistant also listened to some observations, suggestions and inquiries of committees' members and instructors that aim to develop the teaching process within the department and the university.
Emphasizing the need of teamwork and uniting efforts among the faculty to contribute to the university's development.
