The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology concluded the course of teaching methods on Thursday 28/9/2017, organized by the center over two weeks with the participation of 105 trainees.
 The course aimed at training the teaching staff on the new educational strategies and teaching methods as well as providing a range of effective test designs and educational activities that can be practiced in the educational situation, as well as training the owners in presentation skills and presentation of the scientific material.

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology held a course on the design and maintenance of electrical transformers for the period 24-28 / 9/2017.
 The aim of the course is to introduce how to design single and triple phase transformations, periodic maintenance methods and avoid faults.
 The course curriculum includes: the theoretical side of the design of single and three phase transformer, how to conduct tests for the transformer of the three phase feed system, the periodic maintenance of the transformers of the manufacturing facilities, to avoid the expected faults.
 The lecture will be given by Dr. Samir Bahgat from the Department of Production and Minerals at the University of Technology.

On Wednesday, 27/9/2017, the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Amin Douai Thamer, presided over a meeting of the General Authority of the Department of Computer Engineering for the academic year 2017/2018 in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, and his administrative and scientific assistants and the rest of the faculty members in the department.
 The meeting discussed the most important developments and achievements in the Department during the academic year 2016/2017 and the reality of teaching in it and their readiness to receive new students for the academic year 2017/2018 and the processing of laboratories with the latest scientific supplies and all the needs of students of preliminary studies or postgraduate students to complete their studies according to modern scientific curricula And the evolution of scientific progress in the rest of the universities of the world, stressing the need to strengthen the brotherly relations between the teaching of the department and away from all the differences that hinder the process of teaching.
 After that, Prof. Amin Douai Thamer listened to some of the questions and suggestions put forward by the attendees. He expressed his readiness to solve all the obstacles that would impede the scientific process in the department, wishing all the permanent success in developing the service for our Iraqi community.

In the light of the joint cooperation between the University of Technology and the Iraqi Geological Survey, a specialized scientific team headed by the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Amin Dway Thamer, and the membership of Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghuban, Head of Materials Engineering Department and a number of university students visited the Iraqi Geological Survey In the scope of research and scientific cooperation between the educational and productive institutions in the field of scientific research and joint supervision of research graduate students.
 It is worth mentioning that the university has developed a wide program to open up the state institutions according to the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Industry and Minerals in order to advance the scientific and production research to reach an industry that reflects Iraqi identity.

The student, Raed Kazem Mohammed Jawad, from the Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology, received a PhD with a very good degree from his thesis entitled "Study of the Effect of Adding Nanomaterials on the Structural and Mechanical Properties of Reclaimed Concrete Surface from Recycling" on Sunday, 24/9/2017, at the Graduate Hall In the department.
 The researcher pointed out that the possibility of recycle of concrete waste has made it an interesting target and a major focus of waste management policy by encouraging the reduction and recycling of concrete waste. The study also pointed out that the concrete materials were recycled to manufacture recycled fine rubble and its effect when used as an alternative to part of the rubble The natural softness with nanomaterials Alumina and Zaconia was used as an alternative to a part of the cement in the concrete structure on the properties of the concrete surface in terms of microscopic structure.
 The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Mohammed Musleh Salman from Mustansiriya University as president. Dr.. Mohamed Mansourkazem from the University of Babylon and Dr. Mohammed Salab Hamza and Dr. Jawad Kazim Aliwi of the University of Technology and Dr.D.
