Division of the Psychological Guidance and Educational Direction (DPGED)
Introduction
The Psychological Guidance and Educational Direction is one of the basic pillars of the educational and academic process in educational institutions for the intellectual and cognitive advancement practiced by these institutions of all specialties.
The DPGED Division at the university comes to provide counseling and psychological assistance to all university students who have different levels of education, including undergraduate and postgraduate, for morning and evening studies, and the teaching staff and employees.
Psychological guidance is a distinct field of applied sciences because it helps individuals in general and the guided (students) in particular to understand themselves and develop their skills, abilities and capabilities that contribute to developing their self-confidence and ability to make decisions and move them from experience of the position of counseling to experience of life situations.

- Working to provide appropriate mechanisms to provide psychological support, counseling and educational guidance to the elements of the educational system and work to develop their skills and abilities to achieve proper psychological, social and professional compatibility with themselves and with others.
Objectives
The Division of Psychological Guidance and Educational Direction at the University of Technology aims at:
1- Providing various counseling, psychological and social counseling for all university affiliates, as well as helping students who suffer from psychological and social problems in order to achieve proper psychological and social compatibility with themselves and with others
2- Organizing educational lectures, awareness seminars and discussion session to consolidate the guiding, educational and academic principles within the educational institution.
3- Inculcating moral and social principles and values in the souls of students and adhering to university norms, and campus ethics.
4- Raising the academic, research and functional competence of teaching staff by developing the work of scientific and advisory committees
5- Working on holding joint meetings between the employees of the educational institution at all levels of education and administration (the elements of the educational system).
6- Receiving psychological inquiries, counseling by university student, and finding appropriate solutions for him.
7- Involving students in the activities organized by the psychological counseling and educational guidance units at the university, such as conferences, seminars and lectures
8- Providing help, assistance and participation to researchers in conducting research and studies that deal with psychological and social problems and their treatment of students and developing proposals and recommendations for the development of the psychological and educational counseling process
