Lecturer Publishes Research
Asst.Prof.Dr.Mustafa Al-Mukhtar, a lecturer at Civil Engineering Department, published a scientific research with a researcher team from Vietnam, Ethiopia and Greece "Prediction of lead (Pb) adsorption on attapulgite clay using the feasibility of data intelligence models" in the magazine of Environmental Science and Pollution Research with impact factor 3.05 clarivate, issued by Springer. The research aimed at predicting the lead absorption on the clay using the feasibility of intelligent models. Support machine, random forest and multivariate adaptive regression splines methods were used. The results proved the effectiveness of the above methods to create lead values then it can be adopted as a prediction of pollution if field measurements are not possible, it is often costly and labor-intensive.
